We have set up this page to bring awareness to the Federal Reserve Transparency Act of 2009(HR 1207). A bill, introduced by Congressman Dr. Ron Paul, that will be up for vote soon in the House. We need more people in the lowcountry, mainly South Carolina District 1 to call Henry E. Brown's office and ask him to cosponsor this very important piece of legislation!
Many of us have sent numerous emails, faxes, and made countless calls to Rep. Brown's office in Washington, Charleston, and Myrtle Beach. Usually, the staffers that answer the phone, seem to be playing dumb when it comes to this bill. Asking what the bill is about, etc.
If 100 people donate $20 dollars and we soon raise $2,000, we can bombard the cable news networks like Fox News, CNN, and MSNBC with this TV commercial and hopefully, finally get Congressman Henry Brown to cosponsor HR 1207!
These people know by now, what HR 1207 is about! Of the 58 current cosponsors to HR 1207, there is not one from South Carolina. There has to be more people in this great state that want more transparency in government, more accountability.
It is time we take a stand! This is our country! Lets remind our representatives who they work for. Everyone needs to get involved and call Rep. Henry Brown's office and ask him to support HR 1207. After all, Mr. Brown voted for the bailout both times!
